Applications are open now for terms beginning August 1. All applications are due by May 15.

Completed applications must be post-marked,
faxed, or emailed by March 1 to be considered.
Applications may also be submitted in-person to the
Association Manager by March 1 at the GPUSBC
offices.

HALLENE O. WALLS served on the Wichita Women’s Bowling Association Board of Directors for more than 30 years. She performed any duty that was asked and did it with a smile for she loved the sport of bowling. A member of the local & state bowling Halls of Fame, Hallene was one of the greatest advocates for the sport of bowling Wichita ever had. She always welcomed new bowlers and willingly helped them to understand the rules of the game. Her greatest contribution to the sport was coaching. She began coaching “her kids” at Boulevard Bowl & later at Thunderbird Bowl. She coached youth bowlers for more than 20 years.

THE HALLENE O. WALLS STUDENT BOWLER OF THE YEAR AWARD annually recognizes a male and a female GPUSBC youth bowler who is currently in high school. These award recipients stand out for their distinguished certified bowling performances, academic achievement and extra-curricular activities. The award winners will receive a $500 scholarship. This scholarship will be formally presented at the annual GPUSBC Hall of Fame & Awards Banquet. In the case of all male or all female applicants only one scholarship will be awarded.

Applications are due by May 1 each year.
